What Matters

We take our responsibilities as a fashion brand seriously, prioritising sustainable and ethical practices from the very start. We actively strive to reduce our carbon footprint, uphold the highest labour standards, and procure materials from the most trusted suppliers. We have taken care to follow through on these principles without compromise; we know that there is always more that we can do to have a net positive impact on this planet – and the people within it – but we are proud of what we have achieved so far.

Materials

We are committed to using not only the finest quality leather, but also sustainably and responsibly sourced leather. Therefore, we work with one of Italy’s most reputable tanneries, which qualifies for the Gold Leather Working Group standard. This means they have been given the highest sustainability ratings in all aspects of their leather production, from traceability to chemical use, from worker safety to waste.

For the lining of our bags, we use a low-impact, low-waste microfibre, which is a sustainable alternative to suede. This makes our bags durable, as well as giving them their beautiful structural shapes.

Craftsmanship

The start-to-end production of our bags takes place in a small industrial town in Andalucía in Southern Spain. Set into the hills, the factory we work with adheres to all European standards for pay and work conditions. We know all the artisans who make our bags, and we visit regularly – not only because it’s a beautiful spot with fantastic food and lovely weather – but to ensure that our standards are met and our partners are happy. We are proud that we are contributing to the preservation of skills and crafts that go back many generations.

Supply Chain

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by using road transport in our supply chain; all raw materials travel by road from Italy to Spain, and our product stock travels by the same method from Spain to our Belgium warehouse.
