Yuzefi’s distinct visual DNA is the result of founder Naza Yousefi’s extensive industry experience and cross-disciplinary approach to design. Launched in 2016, Naza was inspired by forms and craftsmanship know-how borrowed from the world of interiors and artefacts.

Marking out a place for a new take on leather goods, Yuzefi’s unique aesthetic is a mélange of leather craft techniques previously overlooked in handbag design. Meticulously developed and handcrafted in London, the instantly recognisable styles have been a cult success with press and influencers worldwide, cultivating a following for the brand’s diminutive yet versatile range of bags.

With a background in RTW design (which includes commissioned pieces for fashion-industry heavyweights like Hedi Slimane, Patti Wilson, and Steven Klein), Naza took a cross-disciplinary approach to her line with interior design fuelling her fascination with the relationship between material, form, and function. Aiming to offer a true luxury product that could hold its own in every way: not just the aesthetics, but right down to the materials and craftsmanship.

Without any previous training in handbag design to hold her back, the experimental, modernist and unusual designs of the brand fuse meticulous craftsmanship with a truly unique aesthetic in a mix of bright colours and subdued tones of buttery soft leather punctuated by oversized gold hardware that read modern and elevated.

Developing the brand’s initial concept alongside an interiors artisan who introduced her to leather moulding and bonding techniques used in furniture design, Naza began finding refining her signature aesthetic — which features industrial-inspired bolts to seal moulded panels and highlight the construction of the brand’s unique shapes without any conventional joints, gussets, or stitching. “The techniques were refined and personalised over a period of 12 months and are now unique to Yuzefi.

Yuzefi products are available from over 70 leading international retailers including Net-a-Porter, Selfridges, Neiman Marcus, Shopbop, Holt Renfrew and Moda Operandi.
